Get Involved
Participation is the means by which young people realise their rights, where they join with adults to make decisions.
Our principles of participation
- It is an ongoing process
- It must enable young people to influence their outcomes
- It values and supports collaboration
Who’s can participate?
Children and young people aged 0-19 years of age (or up to 25 if they have a disability), are looked after or a care leaver in Sandwell.
How can I participate?
We have 2 groups here at the Trust. Voices of Sandwell is for looked after children aged 11-17 and The Forum for Independent Young Adults is for care leavers aged 17-25.
Sandwell Council also offers the SHAPE Programme for all children and young people where members provide a voice for young people across Sandwell and have been consistently used as a consultative body for various initiatives concerning young people.
